Dena's Poetry: Poetry of Love, Loss, and the Occult is Written, Designed, and Maintained by
Dena L. Moore.
I'm pleased to announce that
my latest collection, Burning Constellations, is now available.
You’ve Shattered These Bones
Drifting now, a pattern taking shape,
Shifting and billowing…
Suffocating.
It’s madness
This darkness overtaking,
Breaking the light,
Growing cold and damp -
A flooded catacomb,
Floating bones unable to crumble,
Thin pieces of skin clinging putridly, tenuously,
Like I cling to you…
It’s impossible,
A resurrection of life,
Reassembly of the scattered pieces,
New flesh plump and pulsating,
Fresh and oxygenated blood flowing, renovating,
Purging toxins…
It’s impossible.
You’ve torn me to pieces.
You’ve shattered these bones
And left them to mold in the cold, in the dark dank swamp
Of your love.
