Dena's Poetry: Poetry of Love, Loss, and the Occult is Written, Designed, and Maintained by
Dena L. Moore.
Surrender (A Duel of Logic and Intuition)
Sweet breeze caress me,
Linger, gently soothe my skin -
Candle light flicker, scent the air,
Touch me, glow through the night…
Natural vision, steady rhythm,
Tracing memories, they whisper,
How they whisper…
It’s a song of surrender,
Uncompromising surrender,
A duel of logic and intuition,
Head and heart, and a drift toward
That which has no name,
Like the wind flowing over me,
The flame licking through me,
Surrender - as natural as earth, wind,
Ocean, fire…Spirit…
Love…it’s a powerful word, misunderstood,
A mystery taken for granted, expected,
Given and withheld…oh, a weapon,
Yes that too…a weapon,
And a song of centuries, a song of antiquity,
Of time began when we two were one,
(when we were all one) -
We will be again.
