Poetry of Love, Loss, and the Occult
Stained In My Blood

If I gave you a broken piece
Of this splintered soul,
Would you take it?
It's not refined enough for you,
It is too scattered,
Battered...shattered.

Inside this abscessed shell
Lies a little girl, terrified...
Lost, swollen, desecrated beneath
The moonbeams shining through
The cracked pane...the
Stars could not save her.

No, and neither could the asteroids,
The meteors, the acid rain...
So how can I expect you to
Be there when I need you?
How can I imagine that we are
Together...and whole?

So I won't ask you for something
You won't be able to give,
I won't ask you to take this piece
I've reserved for you....your name
Is stained in my blood, your words
Lost in my mind...

I cannot get away anymore than you can,
And if the truth be told,
I would not want it any other way.
