Hidden Soul
There's a part of me That's lost, invisible, and nebulous, A glimmer of an essence unrecognizable; A shapeless, shifting aura I cannot see. Solitude is a luxury I can't afford, So I go in, searching the limits Of imagination, longing to touch the ineffable, Seeking peace, the only true reward.
Within my mind, I am everything. I am hope; I am desolation. I am nothing. The dark, misty reaches of eternal life Move away like a shooting star Every time I draw near, Pulling me deeper in internal strife. The rocky climb toward evolution, Grasping ideas that aren't my own, Fills me with unspeakable fear; Crossing the bar is the only solution.
